Day 14
Wed 19th Aug
There was one hell of a storm last night!! Torrential rain, bright flashes of sheet lightening and incredible thunder. I do love a good storm, and there’s something quite enjoyable about being in a tent while there’s thunder and lightening all around you. The not so enjoyable bit however is getting out of it in the morning. The sides of the tent were soaked, our stuff was soaked, and there was no way we were going to be riding in the rain all day. Fortunately the cheap motel was open, so we got ourselves a room for the night, taking advantage of the spare time to catch up on admin, shopping and general lounging around and doing nothing; I think we’d earnt it.
Fantastic catching up with your journies. Look forward to reading more. Any news on Ed’s video updates?
Good for you to take a day off :-),
How are the engines holding out?
Glad to see you posting again, I was getting worried.
Hi How are you two getting on? I’m coming right up behind you – so to speak – on my little 250, and was wondering how your going and how it’s looking out west – I’m in Tallico plains tomorrow. All the best
